At OptoQuest, we develop and manufacture laser light sources and wavelength converters that combine laser crystals and wavelength conversion materials. <Product Introduction> ■ Microchip Laser * Currently developing a high-energy type with over 10mJ. With a compact, lightweight head the size of a palm, it can be used for various applications such as laser processing, ablation, laser ultrasonic inspection, peening, environmental measurement, and mass spectrometry. Wavelength conversion types (532nm, 355nm, 266nm) are also available. ■ Near-Infrared Supercontinuum Light Source A highly stable broadband light source (white light source) using our unique pulse seed, suitable for a wide range of applications including inspection light sources for optical components and broadband light sources for physicochemical analysis. ■ Femtosecond Fiber Laser A passively mode-locked fiber laser equipped with our uniquely developed all-fiber saturable absorber mechanism. Laser light sources that emit coherent light are significantly different from conventional lighting sources. The emission spectrum of a laser light source is usually very narrow, with a line width of only about 1/10 of a megahertz. Additionally, the beam divergence is also very small, on the order of milliradians. Laser light sources can be divided into two models: the free-space model, where the beam emission section is in free space and optical components are used for beam steering, and the fiber coupling model, which implements optical fibers. In the case of the fiber coupling model, the fiber end of the light emission section is fixed toward the location where the beam is to be propagated, eliminating the need for optical components for beam steering. It should be noted that when coupling a laser light source to an optical fiber, the light emitted from the fiber is not a collimated beam but a divergent beam.
